Tarpaulins

Tarpaulins

Tarpaulin or also known as ‘talpatri’ in India is heavy duty water – proof cloth originally made of tarred canvas. They are strong, flexible, and water resistant and have multipurpose applications.

Tarpaulins are used in many ways to protect individuals and structures from wind, rain, and sunlight. They are used during construction or after disasters to protect partially built or damaged structures, to prevent mess during painting and similar activities, and to contain and collect debris.

White / Black Plastic

Plastic sheet rolls are not as strong as tarpaulins but are generally used as a shade for cement bags, tents and workers camps. The plastic sheets are waterproof and leak-proof but not as strong and sturdy as tarpaulins. They have a standard width of 12 ft. and are sold on basis of kilograms. Each bundle usually weighs about 10 – 20 kg.

Standards

  1. 1 kg – 2 mtr quality
  2. 1 kg – 3 mtr quality
  3. 1 kg – 4 mtr quality

The thickness and quality of the plastic roll depends upon the length of the plastic roll per kg.
